PLUMBER

Summary

Up North Plumbing & Heating, Inc. is looking for experienced, personable, and self-motivated individuals to add to our growing company.  These are permanent, full-time positions with benefits and competitive wages.  Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person with a good attitude and desire to learn. 

Plumbing positions we have open:

·      Licensed plumber

·      Plumbing apprentice

Job Responsibilities

You must be a self-motivated individual.  In this job, you will install, troubleshoot, and service all types of plumbing equipment and systems.

·      Installation of plumbing systems for residential and light commercial projects

·      New construction and remodel/repair work

·      Interpret construction plans and specs to determine layout for plumbing systems

·      Install all plumbing according to Minnesota Plumbing Code

·      Install and repair plumbing fixtures and equipment

·      Test plumbing systems and fixtures to ensure proper installation

·      Maintain inventories, supply requests, and work orders

Qualifications

·      Excellent customer communication skills

·      Mechanical ability and strong troubleshooting skills

·      Dedication to being on time and working safely

·      Strong critical thinking skills

·      Trustworthy and respectful

·      Must own required hand tools (power tools are provided)

·      Ability to lift up to 100lbs as necessary and 50lbs repetitively

·      A minimum of 2 years of on-the-job experience is preferred

·      Experience with PVC, copper, PEX, cast iron, and black iron piping systems

·      Ability to safely climb up/down ladders while carrying tools, equipment, and/or parts

·      Ability to work with other trades in a productive and collaborative manner

Technical Requirements

·      High School Diploma or GED

·      Minnesota Plumbing License or Apprenticeship Registration

·      Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

·      Drug screening and background check are required

·      Authorized to work in the U.S.

HVAC Technician

Job Responsibilities

You must be a self-motivated individual.  In this job, you will install, troubleshoot, and service all types of HVAC equipment and systems including forced-air systems, hydronic systems, furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, heat pumps, air exchangers, mini-split systems, and humidifiers.

·      Must own required hand tools (power tools are provided)

·      Ability to lift up to 100lbs as necessary and 50lbs repetitively

·      Experience with PVC, copper, PEX, black iron, and CSST piping systems

·      Sheet metal fabrication experience

·      Ability to maintain work van inventory, supply requests, and work orders

·      Ability to safely climb up/down ladders while carrying tools, equipment, and/or parts

·      Ability to work with other trades in a productive and collaborative manner 

Technical Requirements

·      High School Diploma or GED

·      EPA Certification

·      Nate Certification is a plus, but not required

·      Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
